What animals can I implant after taking this course?
Assuming you implant a dog and a cat as part of your training you can implant microchips into Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, ferrets and other small mammals.
What microchip size is recommended?
Our most popular microchip size is our 8mm mini. This makes up around 80% of the microchips we sell and is suitable for most animals. Consider using the 11.5mm for extra large dogs such as German Shepards. This will be covered within the training documentation.
How do I take the theory test?
The theory test is taken online. After you complete the theory sessions with your trainer we will send you the link to complete the theory test.
Do I need to take the theory test before my practical test?
Yes, The theory test needs to be take first.
How do I book my practical test?
You and your trainer can discuss a date and time that suits you. It's best to organise the date and time after completing the theory exam and can depend on you having access to a dog and a cat as part of the training.
Where can I do the practical test?
This depends on where you are sourcing the animals for microchips from. It may make sense for you and your trainer to travel to someone's house to do this or have the animals come to you.
Will I receive a qualification certificate after completing the course?
Yes absolutely, once you complete both your theory and practical exam you'll receive a digital certificate and a printed certificate posted to you.
